This includes all students, staff, family and friends. The role provides support for the overall wellbeing of the patient whilst abiding by School protocols and procedures when providing first aid and healthcare management. This role will also work closely with other members of the Health Centre team at Wheelers Hill (Junior and Secondary) to ensure adequate resourcing across the campus.Key Responsibilities:Assess, treat, and manage all health care issues in an appropriate timeframe.Administer and supervise appropriate medications within the schools' medication guidelines.Communicate with parents/guardians/boarding house and School staff regarding health care matters of students where appropriate.Document all health care provision incidents including Accident/Incident Report Forms.Maintain up-to-date student medical records.Assist with the maintenance and allocation of medical equipment, first aid kits, supplies & medications, pharmacy orders & accounts.Monitor, plan and take appropriate action to maintain the physical and emotional health of students, staff and members of the School community as required.Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours.Skills and Qualifications:Current Employment Working with Children's Check or willing to obtain.Registered Nurse Division 1 qualification.Up-to-date certifications in Level 2 First Aid (minimum) and Emergency Anaphylaxis Management.Membership of Australian Nursing Federation (Victoria) and Victorian School Nurses Special Interest Group (strongly encouraged).Diabetes experience, certifications or qualifications.Experience as Education Nurse background is highly regarded.Knowledge of legal and statutory obligations of health care practice and ability to implement current best practice.Ability to relate to adolescents, parents, guardians and caregivers, school staff.Computer literacy skills.Why Caulfield Grammar SchoolOur culture is defined by the five values: Pursuing Excellence, Inspiring Creativity, Thriving Together, Embracing Diversity, and Living Wholeheartedly.
