We encourage people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds and people with disabilities to apply.About the Role: As an Aged Care Support Worker, you will provide personalised home care support to older Australians, helping them remain independent in their own homes.
This is a casual opportunity, with a minimum availability of 3 days between Monday and Friday.
Hours will be between 7 am and 5 pm, with no evening, weekend, or sleepover shifts.
Flexible hours available that can be between school hours or other commitments if required.You will assist multiple people throughout the day and provide transport for them, so a willingness to travel is essential for this role.
You will provide support around Deception Bay and surrounding suburbs, and will be paid for your time spent travelling, along with the kilometres travelled.
Travel between clients will be approximately 30 minutes.Key Responsibilities:Domestic assistance duties, including light cleaning, changing bed linen, and laundry.In-home supports, including meal preparation and assistance with daily living.Personal care, including showering, daily hygiene, and monitoring health and well-being (e.g., identification of wound care needs, skin integrity).Social supports, including assistance to attend medical appointments, social activities in the local community, and building/maintaining social networks.Skills & Experience:Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community.An Australian Driver's Licence and third-party insurance.Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment).Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks, including a National Criminal History Record Check.Benefits:Work independently while supported by a dedicated leadership team.Simple and easy-to-use technology to record your timesheets and kilometres.Supported career development with opportunities to learn and take on new challenges.Frameworks and policies in place providing you with clear guidelines and support.Casual hourly rate from $36.17 + Super + 92 cents per kilometre.Be paid a full two days for your induction.Development and progression opportunities nationally.How to Apply: Include your resume and covering letter in one document, click Apply and follow the prompts.
