Job Description:
As a Court Support Officer, you will work with adult and child victims of crime to provide emotional support and practical assistance throughout the court process.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Explaining court processes and terminology to help victims understand their case
* Providing information about court systems and procedures
* Offering personal and emotional support during the court process
* Discussing the impact of Magistrates/Judges decisions on victims
* Referring victims to appropriate support services
You will also be responsible for:
* Transporting and accompanying victims to court, police interviews, medical appointments, and support services
* Assisting in the preparation of age-appropriate policy and advertising materials
* Operating as a member of the Safe at Home interdepartmental project team
* Liaising with Divisional Managers and community-based organizations
* Providing administrative support to the Victims Assistance Unit
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A current driver's license
* To undergo pre-employment checks, including a national police history check and identification verification
