Energy-Tec is seeking to recruit a self-motivated, ambitious, technically minded, qualified electronic equipment tradesman. The 40:60 office/field services role entails deploying energy measurement communication setups, troubleshooting low voltage communications and security equipment. Who is Energy-Tec? Energy-Tec is WA’s largest Embedded Network service provider, servicing thousands of commercial buildings, office towers, retail shopping centres, airports, universities, strata residential and retirement living homes. Our services play a critical role in helping clients to allocate, bill and recover revenue from property utility costs. What We Do Energy-Tec makes sense of a buildings intricate energy consumption to make the asset owner money. This is generated through the implementation of smart metering, (advanced metering infrastructure – AMI); occupant/tenant billing; obtaining more competitive pricing for retail energy accounts (procurement), and adding renewable energy solutions (distributed energy resources – DER) to buildings. Our in-house software, specifically designed to support the new Australian national energy market, allows us to provide our clients with simplified metering data in a fluid, transparent manner, offering greater reporting options and the capability of generating analytical reports. Your Role Main tasks include: • Meter programming and diagnostic testings • Communications programming and validations • Control board installs and repairs • Modem inspection and repairs • Data extraction and troubleshooting • Repair and maintain electronic equipment in the field and workshop • Commissioning and installing of computer equipment • Setup of new equipment • Meeting required Service Level Agreements • Provide afterhours breakdown service when rostered • Follow Quality procedures • Comply with all Work health and Safety and environmental processes related to the service department Required Skills & Experience: At least 5-10 years’ Experience in Electro technology equipment, power supplies and in engineering application software on PC`s is essential. Excellent communication skills both verbal & written Must be willing to learn and develop product knowledge.
