GTS is the place to make that happen!The Yard Foreman position is responsible for load management and preparation of line haul equipment scheduled for despatch or delivery. The position is responsible for planning, preparation, monitoring and managing the loading of equipment to meet customer and compliance obligations. Responsibilities & duties
Monitor and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure adherence with delivery requirements.
Organises and conducts activities in the freight shed for the purpose of ensuring availability and efficient distribution of product as per customer requirements.
Receival of stock and non-stock items for the purpose of ensuring specifications, quantity, and quality of product as per customer requirements.
Rejections and product damages are processed effectively ; Stock monitored and recorded.
Ensuring all warehouse processes are conducted in line with company daily warehousing tasks.
Relocating stock as required / Loading and unloading of trailers / Stock rotation as required.
Review all freight not loaded each day.
Ensure compliance with the Chain of Responsibility for Drivers and Subcontractors.
Manage Vehicle allocation to task.
Manage subcontractors and tow operators in the yard.
Load management policies and procedures are effectively implemented within area of control.
Prioritising the loading and unloading of trailers on site.
Check and conduct regular audits of trailer toolboxes to ensure equipment required to complete the task is available and meets standard.
Check load restraint for compliance prior to dispatch.
Supporting the Management team ensuring all customer products are received, stored and despatched and that the required reporting is completed.
To be successful in the role you will possess the following attributes:
Forklift Licence
Certificate IV Leadership and Management or equivalent. (an advantage)
Understanding of NHVAS, mass, maintenance, and fatigue.
Chain of Responsibility
MC Drivers Licence
Warehousing and Logistics Training.
Knowledge of regulations applicable to the industry.
Understanding of HACCP certification requirements. (an advantage)
Intermediate computer skills, strong written and verbal communication.

3 years previous experience within the industry.
