Les Deux Coqs is a French family owned business producing a wide range of traditional French/European products including charcuterie and pâtisserie.
We're recruiting a Pastry Chef / Baker / Chef to join our team at our factory located in Kent Town. He/She is responsible for the preparation and baking of traditional French & Artisan style products.

The duties:
The Pastry Chef / Baker / Chef is responsible but not limited to:
* Prepare a wide variety of French pâtisserie such as different cakes and tarts following traditional recipes.
* Bake pastries and bread.
* Cook savory French meals such as quiches and croque monsieurs.
* Assist in determining how food should be presented and create high standards food displays.
* Follow proper handling and right temperature of all food products, also check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
* Monitor stocks and avoid wastage.
* Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards.
The successful applicant:
The candidate must have/be:
* 2+ years’ experience in Pastry/Bakery and cooking with relevant qualifications.
* Experience in French food is ESSENTIAL.
* Able to recognize superior quality products, presentations, and flavors.
* Great eye for detail and consistency.
* Extremely well organized as customers can see your preparation.
* Some knowledge of HACCP quality systems.
* Passionate about food and baking with a drive for excellence.
* Able to work in a busy and fast-paced environment.
* Able to work under time restrictions and unsupervised.
* Able to follow our recipes and methods as well as helping to develop new products.
* Flexibility across retail trading hours including weekends.
Key requirements:
* Verification of qualifications/licenses might be undertaken along with background police check for all shortlisted candidates.
* The right to work in Australia.
