About the role
We are seeking a skilled podiatrist who is keen to develop a career in public health, to work with our team in Sydney Local Health District.
The role provides a high quality Podiatry service to patients/clients and carers in order to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for the patients/clients of the service. Our target groups include; frail older people, people who are at increased risk of foot ulceration and amputation, Aboriginal people, people in the community with foot pathology who have mental health problems and those who are financially disadvantaged.
The role will involve;
1. Patient care in the non-admitted, outpatient clinic setting with some inpatient care and occasional home visits for Community Home Support Clients in our geographical area.
2. Provision of education to target groups within our community, patients, carers and other health professionals to promote foot care and the role of the podiatrist.

3. Holds qualifications recognised for registration with the Podiatry Board of Australia and be eligible to practice as a podiatrist.
4. Has knowledge, skills and clinical experience in Podiatry practice and the provision of services to people with foot pathology, people at increased risk of ulceration and amputation and older people.

About working for SLHD
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course).
