About the Role We are seeking a compassionate Female Disability Support Worker to provide 1:1 Supported Independent Living (SIL) Sleep Support for a client with complex medical and mental health needs. This role involves 24/7 care, with a four-shift-per-week schedule, covering Morning, Afternoon, and Night-Sleep shifts. Client’s Medical Conditions & Support Needs: Mixed Dementia/Alzheimer’s – Requires structured routines and memory support. Bipolar Disorder & Depressive Disorder – Needs emotional regulation strategies and mood monitoring. Osteoarthritis (Hips and Knees) – Assistance with mobility and pain management. Self-Harm & Suicidal Ideation – Requires vigilant supervision and crisis intervention strategies. Key Responsibilities: Emotional and Behavioral Support – Implement de-escalation techniques and monitor mood fluctuations. Self-Harm & Crisis Management – Apply suicide prevention strategies and maintain a safe environment. Cognitive Support & Memory Care – Assist with memory exercises and maintain structured routines. Mobility & Pain Management – Support daily movement, transfers, and medication adherence. Personal Care & Wellbeing – Assist with hygiene, nutrition, and daily activities to promote independence. About You To succeed in this role, you should be a dedicated professional with experience handling Dementia, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Osteoarthritis, and Self-Harm Prevention. Top 5 Qualities & Skills Required: Mental Health Awareness – Understanding of mood disorders and experience in crisis management.
