About the role
In this role, you will report directly to the Laboratory Supervisor and be responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective coordination of sampling, chemistry, and analytical programs that support the operations of the Racecourse Mill laboratory. This position also involves overseeing the daily activities of a team of laboratory staff. Additionally, you will manage process chemical stock control, validate weekly production performance and end-of-season records, and maintain and develop laboratory manuals, policies, and standard operating procedures. You will also assist with the recruitment and training of seasonal analysts.
You will be a key member of the production team, self-motivated and committed to achieving targets in relation to safety, quality and productivity. As a minimum you will:
hold an Advanced Certificate in Laboratory Chemistry or Diploma of Applied Science – Laboratory Techniques or equivalent.
have 1 year experience as a Control Analyst and knowledge of cane payment methods.
It is preferred (but not essential) that you:
hold Tertiary education in Chemistry or other related science.
have intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
