About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Specialist with a deep understanding of the end-to-end import process to join the team. The successful candidate must have a solid background in Freight Forwarding, be proficient with CargoWise, and be confident when it comes to procuring rates and quoting their customers on an ad-hoc basis; experience with Client Rates in CargoWise is also a plus. You will be a key contact for clients, and your proactive communication will help ensure their shipments move as smoothly and as efficiently as possible. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, proactively communicating updates on their shipments and addressing inquiries or issues. Provide accurate and competitive shipment quotations for clients based on their specific import needs. Utilise CargoWise to manage booking details, track shipments, and ensure timely and accurate completion of all necessary documentation. Demonstrate a comprehensive end-to-end understanding of the import process, including knowing what problems to look out for. Coordinate closely with internal teams and ensure seamless operations to meet client requirements. Maintain and strengthen customer relationships by anticipating client needs and providing exceptional service at every touchpoint. Assist with preparing, reviewing, or chasing relevant shipping documents. Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Key Requirements: Previous experience in a freight forwarding Customer Service role is essential Experience with Air, LCL and FCL shipments Proficiency with CargoWise, with the ability to navigate the system efficiently. Proven ability to generate accurate quotes and provide tailored freight solutions to clients. End-to-end understanding of the import process, from booking and documentation to customs clearance and delivery. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to proactively engage with clients and internal teams. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. A customer-focused attitude with a passion for providing exceptional service.
