An exciting opportunity exists for a Coding Auditor/Educator to join our professional team. To be successful in this position, considerable experience in clinical coding, strong time management, and problem-solving skills will be required. As a State Clinical Coder Auditor - Educator your responsibilities will include: Responsible for the implementation and management of the clinical coding training program, within the region. Responsible for conducting education to all sites using all available technology and audit outcomes. Facilitate quality audits for all sites within the region. Providing feedback to hospitals and senior management team on outcomes and enhancement of improving revenue optimisation through clinical coding education. Work collaboratively with Educator/Auditors and State HIMs in other regions to establish a training and mentor program for trainee clinical coders and students of the Clinical Coding Scholarship program within the region. Oversee the training and mentor program for trainee clinical coders in the region. Assist in auditing projects where directed e.g. Health Funds, Revenue Optimisation Audits. Essential Criteria: Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Information Management (or equivalent) Clinical Coding Audit Qualification Extensive knowledge of clinical coding and casemix Demonstrated experience in preparing clinical coding audit reports outlining recommendations for improvement Ability to train, educate and mentor clinical coding staff at all levels Understanding of private health funding models Strong organisational skills in planning, prioritising and managing workloads Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships Desirable Criteria: Post Graduate Management qualifications Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Applications close: 20th November, 2024 For further enquiries: Vicky Hale, State Health Information Manager, QLD / NT/ WA or 0499 569 199 To Apply: Please click on the 'Apply' button to be taken to our online application form.
