We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facilities Handyman to join our Perth Airport team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and commercial kitchen.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as running repairs to lighting, switches, doors, panels, and equipment, to ensure the effective functioning of our facilities.
* Logistics and Coordination: Coordinate and book external trades (contractors) for specialist check-ups and repairs, manage contractors and previous works carried out, and maintain accurate records of maintenance and servicing logs.
* Cost Control and Administration: Apply effective cost control measures, raise Purchase Orders, process invoices, and respond to queries.
* Safety and Compliance: Contribute to a safety-first environment, adhere to company policies and procedures, and work within Workplace Health and Safety guidelines at all times.
* General Office Administration: Perform general office duties, data entry, scanning, and filing, as well as carry out additional duties as required by senior management.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Experience: Demonstrated success in a similar role, with experience in customer service and ability to communicate with operational staff, team leaders, suppliers, and contractors.
* Skillset: Ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders in a high-volume, high-value environment, willingness to learn new systems, and flexibility to work outside normal hours.
* Knowledge: Industry knowledge or experience preferable but not essential, along with sound knowledge of planned and reactive work orders, HSE, and safe working environments.
