About the Role As a Business Banking Manager, this role is responsible for actively managing and growing a portfolio of customers through client acquisition, cross-sell, referrals, and ongoing relationship management. As a Relationship Banker/Manager, you will have the opportunity to: Build sustainable long-term client relationships and grow critical customer portfolios. Provide customers with effective, value-added solutions while managing potential risks and applying financial analysis to identify key insights. Collaborate with various teams within the Business Unit and across the wider bank to support your customers' growth and ongoing success. Role model coaching, underpinned by a deep understanding of individuals' motivations and aspirations to engage and inspire outperformance. Develop a network of contacts and assist in achieving overall business strategies of sourcing new business, maximizing existing business, and increasing effectiveness. What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: Proven experience in relationship management, business development, portfolio, and/or account management. Previous experience in banking/financial/accounting, or relevant experience would be beneficial, but not essential. Ability to work independently and with a team, with proven analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Proven networking skills to enhance customer relationships, maximize, and grow portfolios. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
