Position Information Warragamba PS, situated on Gundungurra land between Macarthur and Penrith. Our school will serve 440 students from K-6 in 2025, including 11.1% of students who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background. We support inclusion with a MC support class. Our school builds a collective culture of improvement that simultaneously supports motivation, health and wellness utilising a whole school model founded on of internal psychology model Choice Theory/Reality Therapy working towards students and staff intrinsically motivated to control their own choices. Warragamba PS has a very dedicated and hard working teaching staff supported by an equally committed team of SASS and support staff. We prioritise evidence-based literacy and numeracy professional development through initiatives like teaching sprints. Selection Criteria Approval to teach Infants and Primary (K-6), with the capability to deliver explicit literacy and numeracy programs informed by evidence and data, aimed at supporting and extending the learning of a diverse range of students. Highly developed communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work flexibly within a collaborative team to build strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and the broader community. Proven understanding of neuroeducation principles that align with strong classroom management strategies, whilst focusing on fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment to promote student success. Demonstrated willingness to develop and enhance extracurricular activities in creative arts, sport and technology. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
