We are seeking a Project Manager to coordinate material delivery and installation programming to manage these commercial flooring projects. This is a permanent full-time position based in Gepps Cross. A commercial utility is provided as you'll be required to travel to metropolitan job sites and occasionally regional areas in South Australia. Key areas of responsibility include: People/Project Management (70%) Management of project schedules and coordination of installer resources, maintaining strong relationships with the installer base. Maintain project budgets, handle variations, overseeing quality and ensuring installation efficiency. Management of costs and preparation of accurate project claims. Preparation of job sheets, cost sheets and installation plans. Visiting job sites to identify potential issues and ensure they are ready for installation, start-up meetings with clients/installers. Managing issues and escalations from both customers and installers including problem solving, managing customer expectations, and finding a mutually agreeable solution. Liaising with estimation/admin staff for team support throughout the delivery process. Client Services (20%) Building new business opportunities by developing relationships. Proactive communication with clients to seek feedback on completed installations and identifying any areas for improvement. Hosting and participation in occasional staff and client entertainment opportunities to develop and retain relationships. Attend sites and assess flooring or floor preparation requirements. Engagement with suppliers and installers to cost and detail the works. Utilisation of various computer systems to develop a quotation in a timely manner. About us: We commenced business in 2016. About you: This is a hands-on role working closely with floor installers, site managers and end user clients. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively are paramount. A trade background and understanding of the construction industry is highly desirable. The nature of a finishing trade will involve some issues, therefore the ability to identify problems, determine the best solution and utilise relationships with customers, suppliers or installers to resolve the issue is paramount. Key attributes that are fundamental to the Next Gen Flooring team are self-motivation and a passion for quality, and you'll also need to have intermediate skills with computers. The required skillset will include either a trade history or project management experience, and you should be prepared with some development goals to grow within our business. An SA Drivers License is a mandatory requirement. You'll be required to hold (or obtain at our cost upon commencement) a Construction Industry WhiteCard, National Police Clearance, DSCI Working with Children Clearance, and any other certifications that our clients may require. The successful candidate will be provided with a commercial utility vehicle, Surface Pro device and mobile phone.
