An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and team centred Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join our subacute team in a part-time, fixed-term position in the team until January 2026. The Mary Coram Unit (MCU) is our inpatient rehabilitation ward, and the team continues the rehabilitation process in the patient's home, around the Goulburn Valley. This role is essential to delivering high-quality Physiotherapy services to a diverse caseload of rehabilitation & geriatric evaluation and management (GEM) patients.
As the Grade 2 Physiotherapist, you will work closely with the Grade 3 Subacute Physiotherapist and will report to the Physiotherapy Manager & team lead. You will provide support to the Grade 1 Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants, undergraduate Physiotherapy students, and the wider multi-disciplinary team. You will provide clinical expertise to complex cases, support staff supervision, assist with relevant competency and in-service training, and assist with departmental and organisation quality projects to enhance the delivery of high-quality Physiotherapy services to subacute patients.
We are seeking a motivated team player within the multi-disciplinary team and the wider GV Health Physiotherapy team who embodies the GV Health values in their daily working life, has exceptional communication skills and provides excellent patient care and advocacy.
The successful applicant will have:
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Physiotherapist
* Minimum 2 years relevant clinical experience working as a Physiotherapist, ideally in the subacute setting.
* Sound clinical reasoning skills and understanding in management of subacute presentations.
* Sound understanding of physiotherapy models of care across the inpatient settings including the prioritisation of patients based on clinical need and patient flow requirements.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team environment, including the ability to create and maintain effective professional relationships across organisational groups.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including an ability to liaise with a wide range of internal and external providers at all levels.
