About the Role
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of older adults? South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking dedicated and skilled clinicians to join our Older Adult Mental Health and Wellbeing Service. This is your chance to work in a dynamic and supportive environment where you can truly impact the mental health and wellbeing of older adults in our community.
As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality mental health services. Your responsibilities will include direct clinical treatment to consumers, families, and carers, as well as short- and long-term case management. You'll conduct assessments and deliver evidence-based treatment interventions of the highest standard. Additionally, you'll provide outreach support to consumers in their own environments, residential care facilities, and other settings as indicated by clinical guidelines.
At SWH, our Clinicians work within a collaborative framework, ensuring regular communication and information flow between clinical staff, professionals, families, carers, and external stakeholders. This teamwork is vital to delivering comprehensive and coordinated care.
Type: Full Time (80 hours per week with monthly ADO)Location: Warrnambool CampusClassification and Salary Range:Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3 - $100,932.00 - $112,091.20 per annum, plus superannuationOccupational Therapist Grade 2 - $88,030.80 - $101,197.20 per annum, plus superannuationThis position may be eligible for an incentive payment covering rent, childcare, relocation costs, and more, as part of the new workforce and incentive grants program administered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV).
What You Bring: We are looking for an experienced and qualified Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse, Social Worker or Psychologist with a strong background in mental health clinical services.
Qualifications:Nursing: Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, with at least 2 years' experience in mental health services. Completion of a Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or a specialist undergraduate Mental Health Nursing program is desirable.Allied Health: Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with AHPRA; Degree in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers; Registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist.Experience: Demonstrated skills and broad experience in mental health clinical services, with a proven ability to work within a team-based multidisciplinary model.
