Our federal government client is seeking an experienced Financial Modeller to support workforce-related business case development. This contract runs until the end of June 2025, with the possibility of a six-month extension. To be considered, prior experience working in a government environment is essential. This role requires strong financial cost modeling skills, advanced Excel expertise, and a keen eye for detail in financial analysis. About the Role The successful candidate will take on a hands-on financial modelling role, focusing on developing, maintaining, and refining financial cost models to support business case preparation. You will work directly with data, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and collaborate with government stakeholders to ensure models meet public sector standards. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed financial cost models in Excel for workforce-related projects. Gather, interpret, and analyse financial data to support business case preparation. Conduct cost-benefit analyses to assess financial viability. Prepare clear and structured reports to support decision-making. Work closely with internal and external government stakeholders to refine financial models and analysis. Ensure compliance with government financial reporting standards and best practices. Key Skills and Experience (Essential) Government Experience – Prior experience in a federal or state government role is essential.
