Known internally as the Strategic Partnerships Manager, this is a key relationship building role with responsibility for growing our premium membership base and building engagement with leading regional businesses and stakeholders.
This visible, external facing role is a key position in the Mid North Coast regional team collaborating within Business NSW’s broader corporate ecosystem. You will form a key part of the team, each with an area of specialised focus, working with regional businesses, all levels of government and other stakeholders to deliver improved outcomes for businesses in the region. Your focus will be on engaging, developing and managing strategic partnerships and membership growth.
Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
* Develop a strong pipeline of regional businesses, present to prospective members and close sales to grow our premium membership base.
* Drive engagement with existing and new Business NSW members to understand their business priorities and ensure that membership value is being delivered to them.
* Identify and help coordinate business networking event opportunities and work with the Regional Director and team to successfully deliver these events.
* Identify partnering opportunities for events, activities and business awards and secure sponsorship to support these events.
* Nurture key strategic partnerships that provide mutual, long-term benefits to BNSW, its members, and the broader business community.
* Engage with the Business NSW team and regional stakeholders to assist in aligning strategic priorities, advocacy and policy to support members and improve regional business conditions.
* Write and edit marketing material and proposals for regional BNSW publications including, but not limited to social media, event collateral, EDM and other promotional material as required.
* Achieve budgeted monthly, quarterly, and annual KPIs for sponsorship revenue.
About you:
You are an individual that enjoys creating and facilitating connections with a varied stakeholder group. You thrive in environments that require you to work strategically and collaborate with a team to achieve key objectives.
You will have extensive contemporary experience in sales and marketing, relationship management and/or business development, ideally working across a range of industries including government. You will have the skills and experience to build a pipeline for sales and partnership opportunities, create marketing collateral and proposals, drive engagement through digital channels and work with a small, professional team to build relationships and deliver value to members. You will have experience in creating and delivering events and activities to engage with members and promote the policy and advocacy goals of BNSW within the region.
Other key requirements of the role:
* Prior Event Management experience will be very well regarded.
* Experience in the use of CRM and other digital systems and platforms to track and manage member activity is a key part of the role.
* Driving Licence – This role will be travelling to visit prospective Members and Clients.
* The role comes with a fully maintained vehicle, company phone and laptop.
* 22 days annual leave – 1 day for ‘Chamber Day’ and 1 for Birthday.
