What you will be doing
Reporting directly to the Manager, Information Protection, this role will be responsible for: :
1. Responding to privacy queries, complaints and incidents, using your expertise in interpreting relevant legislation and policy
2. Offering advice, recommendations, and conducting risk-based assessments, including privacy impact assessments.
3. Processing information sharing requests and Freedom of Information requests
4. Assisting in the execution of information protection, privacy, and information sharing projects.
5. Contributing to the VEC's information release, FOI, privacy incident and privacy advice registers and progress recommendations.
What you will bring to the role
6. Qualifications or equivalent experience in information privacy, data protection, information release or related areas.
7. Ability to apply understanding of legislation to provide advice to stakeholders in the Information Protection domain
8. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
9. A creative approach to problem solving
