In this role, you will work shoulder to shoulder with our energetic operations leadership team to develop, implement, and continuously improve Health, Safety, Environment, and Risk Management processes. Our team wants what you want: safe operation, regulatory-compliance, and a vibrant, safety-positive workplace culture.What you'll doProactively lead, manage and champion HSE systems and processes as a core member of the operations leadership team.Provide coaching, advice and assistance to line managers and employees on their use and implementation of HSE policies, processes, issues and initiatives.Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs in line with legislative requirements and industry best practices.Personally engage and collaborate with leadership, supervision and team members at all levels to drive a proactive safety culture.Conduct risk assessments and assist with hazard identification and risk assessment for new or modified equipment. Coordinate management of Dangerous Goods and monitor compliance.Conduct and oversee systems for incident investigations, safety audits, and safety-behavioural observation ensuring timely corrective actions are assigned and completed.Compose and deliver HSE-related training and assess competence. Assist with contractor management, inductions and work permits.Monitor and report on safety performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.Stay up to date with changes in OHS legislation and ensure compliance across the business.What you'll bringA demonstrable Safety Leadership shadow (essential)Formal training in OHS&E (highly desirable)RTW accreditation (highly desirable)Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (highly desirable)Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing OHS&E policies and practicesSound experience of OHS&E Risk Management in an operational settingWorking knowledge of Victorian OHS legislation and standards, common law, and industry codes of practiceExcellent communication, autonomous leadership capabilities, self-motivation and initiativeWhat’s on offerAt Carbon Revolution we believe in fair, market competitive and performance-based pay.
