The Opportunity
As the WHS Advisor / Rehabilitation Case Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the organisation’s health and safety culture, and driving initiatives that ensure the wellbeing of employees across all regions.
You will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive WHS policies, offer expert advice to managers and staff, and manage rehabilitation case plans to facilitate the safe and supportive return of employees to work.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will coordinate the Employee Assistance Program, spearhead mental health and wellbeing initiatives, and provide essential secretariat support to the Health and Safety Committee.

The Role
As the WHS Advisor / Rehabilitation Case Manager, your key responsibilities in this role are:
* Create and enforce effective WHS policies and procedures that comply with relevant legislation and regulations, including the department’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy
* Offer expert advice to managers and employees on WHS matters, ensuring accurate interpretation of legislation, policies, and procedures
* Oversee the Employee Assistance Program to support employee mental health and wellbeing
* Handle both compensable and non-compensable claims, facilitating a safe and timely return to work for ill and injured employees
* Provide professional secretariat support, including preparing agendas, reports, and incident documentation
* Complete regular and ad hoc reporting on work health and safety and wellbeing metrics
* Oversee roles such as First Aid Officers, Health and Safety Representatives, and Harassment Contact Officers to ensure alignment with safety objectives
* Design and implement initiatives for ‘Health Week’ to promote employee wellness and safety awareness
The Ideal Person
As a WHS Advisor/Rehabilitation Case Manager, you will have demonstrated capability with the principles of effective rehabilitation case management and work health and safety legislation.
You will have strong verbal and written communication and client service skills, well-developed organisational and time management skills.
You will be a team player who sees the value in collaboration and the delivery of high-quality work. You will be flexible and responsive to changes in business requirements and expectations, have sound judgement and decision-making skills, and have the ability to establish strong and effective working relationships with business areas and stakeholders working across different locations.

Salary / Rate
* $98k – $108k per year plus Super
* 6 – 12 Month Non ongoing
