About the Role
The Assistant Director - Data Strategy and Governance will support the Director to lead data governance and strategic data sharing activities for the Early Childhood Data and Preschool Branch.
The Early Childhood Data and Preschool Branch is responsible for managing rich and informative early childhood education and care (ECEC) data sources, including Child Care Subsidy data, the Australian Early Development Census, and the ECEC National Workforce Census.
This role requires strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities and facilitate cooperation.
Key Responsibilities
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders to identify opportunities and achieve outcomes.
* Evaluate and maintain the Branch's data governance practices.
* Support data sharing activities and implement the ECEC data SEADpod initiative.
* Embed the Department's Data Strategy in Branch practices.
* Manage competing priorities and deadlines while supporting the team.
* Draft data governance documents and contribute to papers for intergovernmental groups.
