Deep experience and capability with a genuine care about creating better lives for people along the way.Be part of the team that’s up for the challenge of transforming lives for good.About the RoleThe Project Engineer on the Logan Hospital Expansion Project Stage 2 will coordinate on-site construction engineering activities to achieve project time and budget objectives.Responsibilities of the role include:Coordinate and administer construction engineering activitiesAssist with the preparation of site construction budgets and reportsMonitor construction progress for adherence to programme and report to the Site Manager or Project ManagerContribute to improvements to existing designsArrange and oversee the letting of tendersDemonstrate financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisionsAssign work and assist with reviewsExecute working knowledge of contractual and legislation relevant to the projectUndertake quantitative and qualitative safety, environment and quality risk assessmentAnalyse and use document and record management, progress and project performance reportingDemonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance of subcontractorsUtilize effective time management skills including sequencing of work of own and resource time managementWhat we are looking for:Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction or equivalentSignificant demonstrated experience in a Site or Project Engineering role within the Building Construction industryKnowledge of project management structure, plans, specification, standards and implications for project accountabilitiesUnderstanding of the Project Design, Quality, Safety and Environmental Management PlansPre-contracts knowledge in relation to design, planning and legislative requirementsAs part of the team, you can help us transform lives.Your success is reflected in ours, so we’re committed to being an employer of choice.
