This is a hands-on leadership role, where you'll contribute to automation frameworks and infrastructure while setting technical direction and maintaining the highest quality standards. Since your team consists of Software Engineers, strong technical ability is essential—you need to be comfortable managing engineers, solving complex technical problems, and writing code yourself.Responsibilities:Lead & mentor a high-performing team of Quality EngineersBe a subject matter expert in test automation, quality engineering, and release processesFoster innovation and continuous learning within your teamIdentify & remove blockers, ensuring smooth releases and high developer velocityDefine and track key quality engineering metrics (test coverage, automation effectiveness, defect rates, and release stability)Continuously improve test infrastructure, automation tools, and release workflowsAbout You3+ years managing at least 4 engineersHands-on experience coding 10-20% of the time, improving automation frameworks and quality pipelinesSkilled in hiring, mentoring, and setting technical direction while staying hands-onDeep experience with test automation strategies and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium)Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, performance, security, and reliability testingAbility to define scalable test strategies and optimize testing infrastructureComfortable testing legacy systems while driving modernization effortsStrong communication skills, able to explain technical decisions clearlyNaturally curious, innovative, and results-drivenBack-end: C#, SQLSupporting systems: C#, Python, R, Rust, Node.jsWhy Displayr?At Displayr, you're more than just a cog in a machine—you're a key player driving meaningful change.
