This pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading Our QLD Government client, is seeking to engage an experienced Senior Business Analyst. About the Role As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be a member of a diverse, culturally aware and inclusive team. You will be leading a wide range of technical business analysis activities and leading the delivery of small initiatives and projects. This position includes working closely with Regulation and Compliance Officer staff to analyse the framework and system requirements for subscriber compliance examination processes. You will be collaborating with the product development team to implement efficient technology solutions that enhance the subscriber compliance process while maintaining data security and adhering to relevant privacy laws. Key Responsibilities Analyse and understand the subscriber compliance examination process and existing system requirements Collaborate with IT staff to implement technology solutions that can automate various aspects of the subscriber compliance examination process and integrate with current data sources Work to enhance the automation of document management, data processing and reporting of compliance examinations and outcomes Support the development and implementation of a secure portal where subscribers can upload documents as part of the compliance examination process, while meeting regulatory standards for data privacy and security Capture and document Business, Functional and Technical Requirements for the automation of business processes using IT systems Diagrammatically capture business processes to enable the design of automated processes (for example BPMN) Lead small business improvement initiatives and projects as required with a focus on measuring "before and after" metrics Contribute to periodic reporting Work collaboratively with other IT staff, business staff and external suppliers. Develop technical business cases or technical reports to senior managers Support and guide any direct reports in meeting their performance expectations Adhere to current policies and procedures. Mandatory Qualifications, Conditions and Requirements Some exposure or familiarity to the following would be well regarded: o BPMN o Data Analysis o SQL o Conceptual understanding of AWS cloud services Degree qualifications in either Business, Information Technology, Science or a related discipline. Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) certification, offered by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), or a related discipline. The following would be highly regarded: Demonstrated experience in the following: o Business Process Mapping (for example BPMN) o Developing Business, Functional and Technical Requirements o Documenting Business Processes and Procedures o Leading small business improvement initiatives or projects Aptitude and willingness to learn new skills. Aptitude and willingness to supervise staff as required. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work well as a member of a team delivering measurable results. Ability to analyse problems and develop creative, sustainable, and practical solutions. Further details: 8 Hours/day - 40 Hour working week.
