The hospital is a fully accredited 186-bed acute care facility offering a comprehensive range of surgical, medical, cancer, and critical care services. Specializing in Cardiology, Orthopaedics, General Surgery, and Cancer, the hospital provides a wide array of onsite medical and surgical services, ensuring the highest standard of care in all areas.
As the largest private hospital with the only 24-hour Emergency Department and Critical Care Unit in northwestern Melbourne, the facility works closely with highly skilled visiting specialists who provide subspecialty expertise.
General/Medical Ward
This is a 30-bed acute ward dedicated to providing high-quality care for patients with a wide range of medical conditions. Staffed by a team of experienced doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals, the ward focuses on delivering personalized treatment plans tailored to meet each patient's unique needs. Equipped with modern facilities and technology, the ward ensures that patients receive comprehensive medical care in a comfortable and supportive environment.
Oncology Ward
Oncology Ward is a specialized unit dedicated to providing comprehensive care for patients undergoing cancer treatment. Staffed by a highly skilled team of oncologists, nurses, and support staff, the ward offers advanced treatments and therapies in a compassionate and supportive environment. With a focus on individualized care, the team works closely with patients and their families to manage all aspects of cancer care, from chemotherapy and radiation to palliative support, ensuring the highest level of care throughout the treatment journey.
About the Role
We are looking for NUMs for a Full Time Permanent Position
• 1x NUM - General/Medical Ward
• 1x NUM - Oncology Ward
You will..
• be responsible for providing clinical leadership to the General Medical /Oncology ward to compliment the strategic direction, operational processes and quality management of all patients.
• provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.
• be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial, and material resources
We are looking for someone who has…
• Current Registration with AHPRA
• Working with Children check
• Previous experience at NUM level or equivalent (min. 3 years local experience)
• Compliance with ACSQHC National standards
• A strong commitment to developing in a management role
