An established and reputable organisation with a positive culture, based in the western suburbs of Melbourne. This newly created Financial Analyst opportunity will work closely with the Financial Controller to develop a range of complex financial analysis support across the business. This organisation is passionate about career development and are offering fantastic progression opportunities for the Financial Analyst to progress into a leadership position to lead a FP&A function. The Role
The main responsibilities of the Financial Analyst include but not limited to:
1. Responsible for driving and delivering the group budgeting and forecasting processes
2. Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of budgets and forecasts. Provide analysis and insights to support decision-making processes.
3. Develop and enhance end-of-month management reporting and cash flow reporting.
4. Conduct in-depth data analysis using Excel and PowerBI to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
5. Approve, review and analyse supplier payments to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
6. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy. Develop and automate spreadsheets to streamline reporting tasks.
7. Develop and maintain financial models to support various business scenarios and decision-making processes.
8. Other ad hoc duties as required
Your Profile
To be considered for this role you will ideally be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant with appox 4-5 years' experience within a big4/mid-tier firm or an industry trained accountant with similar experience in a relevant Financial Analyst role. You will pride yourself on your outstanding stakeholder engagement skills and your ability to communicate and influence effectively with a broad range of both internal and external stakeholders.
