About the role
We’re looking for an experienced leader to grow our business and support our community impact agenda.
The Senior Branch Manager is a pivotal leadership role within the Community Bank BDCU team, critical to the building of a strong, inclusive, dynamic and productive local Community Bank business being commercially focused and community spirited. This role is accountable for multiple Community Bank branches delivering tailored financial solutions for our customers and growing our business
As part of the Community Bank BDCU leadership team, you’ll bring the winning combination of operational management, lending know-how, strategic business development and positive people leadership.
This role has significant people, commercial and operational responsibility and accountabilities that will contribute and ensure a sustainable, commercially viable Community Bank BDCU. This requires active management of the company profit and loss, cost to income ratio and overall growth.
Participation in your local community initiatives is an expectation of the position where travel, weekend work or work out of hours may be required on occasion.
This position is located at Community Bank BDCU in the Southern Highlands and Tablelands, NSW. The role could suit someone living locally in theSouthern Highlands, candidates from areas such as Wollongong, Illawarra, Canberra, Southern Sydney/M5 corridor are also encouraged to apply. This is a full-time, permanent, on-site role.
Key responsibilities include:
Build and execute an effective strategic plan for your area across multi customer channels
Read and interpret financial reports to effectively manage the branch costs and income to achieve operating profit growth
Collaborate with branch leaders to establish an effective sales operating rhythm to achieve set targets and grow business performance
Lead and grow the residential and personal lending portfolio
Establish and nurture business networks to build the profile of Community Bank BDCU in the local community and create an effective referrer network
Listen and learn from formal and informal customer feedback to continue to build and improve our connection with our customers
Embed operational and risk management practices through regular and clear communication on requirements.
Represent the best interests of Community Bank BDCU to the BDCU Group Executive and Board.
About you
Proven banking and leadership experience to build a strategic plan for the market
Experience in setting strategic business direction and delivering on growth plans
Experienced lender who has previously held a residentialdelegated lending authority and can mentor the lending team
Understanding of financial management, business acumen and risk framework
Proven sales and lending leadership through implementing strategy to drive business
Strong relationship management with ability to effectively network and engage with your community and partners
Strong people leadership with the ability to develop, coach and manage staff performance
Strong communication skills to deliver clear branch expectations
Experience with successfully leading teams across multiple sites would be desirable
Ability to analyse and understand financial reports and statements
Effective and influential presentation and public speaking skills
