About the OPPORTUNITY We have a great opportunity for a CSI-IPT Maintenance Co-ordinator to join our Combat Systems & Integration line of business based at Adelaide. We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight. Reporting to the CSI-IPT Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Maintenance Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing maintenance activities. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient operations, risk mitigation and maintaining a safe work environment. Key responsibilities include: Contribute to the development and updating the Maintenance Plan and to the development of Pre-Acceptance Plans Help establish and refine standard operating procedures for maintenance activities Review job cards for maintenance tasks Supervise maintenance activities to ensure they align with production schedules Coordinate with production teams to minimise disruptions during maintenance Implement and monitor safety protocols for all maintenance activities Conduct regular safety audits of maintenance activities Provide support to maintenance technicians where required Ensure maintenance work is completed to high-quality standards and within set timeframes Collect and analyse data on maintenance activities including schedule and cost Prepare regular reports on maintenance metrics for the Maintenance Manager Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and maintenance supplies Assist in managing relationships with external maintenance service providers and vendors Identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes and procedures Participate in root cause analysis of recurring maintenance issues Identify training needs for maintenance staff and assist in developing and delivering training programs About YOU Project management qualifications/ experience at intermediate level Strong understanding of maintenance best practices and safety regulations Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office suite Excellent organisational and time management skills Problem-solving aptitude with attention to detail Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirements, with appropriate stakeholder management Ability to use and adapt written and verbal communication skills to suit a variety of difference audiences is critical to this role Experience in a military environment (highly desirable) A current Australian Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations We believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
