About Us Our team consists of a dynamic group of academics delivering Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) accredited courses in Exercise Science and Exercise Physiology. Additionally, Exercise Science has a growing postgraduate program strengthened by state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities. Our team is keen to develop synergies with health organisations locally and nationally. The Role We are seeking an accomplished academic to join our team, contributing to the delivery of core units in 'Introduction to Sports Science' and 'Strength and Resistance Training.' You will also play a key role in developing innovative teaching materials for 'Principles of Coaching' as part of our Exercise Science program, accredited by Exercise & Sports Science Australia. In this role, you will coordinate units, develop lectures, deliver hands-on laboratory sessions, and manage assessments within a semester-based system. In addition to teaching, you will have the opportunity to conduct impactful research in physical activity, sport or exercise focusing on athletes, healthy individuals, or clinical/older adult populations. Active participation in committees and working groups, contributing to the wider discipline and university community will also be expected. This role is perfect for someone passionate about both education and research, ready to make a significant contribution to the field of Exercise Science. What you'll bring to this role A PhD or thesis under examination in Exercise and Sports Science or related area. Ability to teach and coordinate units in the discipline. Work under broad direction to exercise initiative in undertaking responsibility and work effectively as a team member. Ability to engage in high-quality independent research with an established record of scholarly publications. Well-developed interpersonal skills and high levels of written and oral communication skills.
