School Officer: Travel, Enrolments, Engagement and Library (TEEL)Job Title: School Officer - Travel, Enrolments, Engagement and Library (TEEL)FTE: 1.0 FTEAccountable to: Director of BoardingCollege Vision: St John's Catholic College is a safe, connected, learning community for local, boarding and international students.We strive for excellence and ensure the holistic development of each student through a balanced approach to faith, academic, sporting and cultural activities.Primary Objective: The School Officer: Travel, Enrolments, Engagement and Library (TEEL) is responsible for a broad range of school services, including but not limited to: student and family travel, enrolment processes, ongoing communication, community engagement, grant applications, and library services.Please note that this position may involve flying in light aircraft (single and twin engine) and other common community transportation such as 4WD and ferry services.Key Responsibilities: Travel, Enrolments and Engagement Responsibilities: Provide a safe, secure and caring environment for all students and support and contribute to the Catholic Ethos and Mission of the College.Coordinate the safe travel of boarding students and their families between their home and the College in accordance with College and ABSTUDY guidelines.Coordinate enrolment processes, with a focus on ABSTUDY boarding enrolments, including the initial assessment of applications to ensure adherence to the enrolment criteria and expectations of the College.Undertake key College, Centrelink, ABSTUDY and ATO administration tasks to ensure compliance, provision of service and maximize funding.Maintain a high degree of communication with key staff and families relating to enrolment, travel and the pastoral care and wellbeing of ABSTUDY boarding students.Liaise with key stakeholders in communities - clinics, schools, community officers etc.to support the ongoing enrolment and engagement of students and families.Coordinate the Indigenous Youth Leadership Program and other grant opportunities to support the College, students and families.Undertake promotional activities that strengthen the College in the market and support enrolment processes.Any other duty as required by the Director of Boarding or Principal.Library Responsibilities: Provide supervision of students accessing the library.Maintain library resources, equipment and facilities: physical, catalogue and database management.Identify, arrange and order resources to maintain the library as an informative and engaging learning space.Selection Criteria: Maintain a current Northern Territory Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card).A demonstrated understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school and its mission.High level of cultural competence and communication skills to engage with a range of stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds, especially with First Nations people from remote and very remote communities.The ability to communicate sensitive information with accuracy, respect and compassion.Level of ICT literacy and administration skills to undertake the responsibilities of the position independently and efficiently.High degree of initiative, accuracy, communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Ability to work in accordance with College, system, jurisdiction and government policy, processes and legislation.This position involves working with children.The appointment of the successful applicant will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with legislation.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?Do you have a current Police Check (National Police Certificate) for employment?Do you have a current Working With Children (WWC) Check?Do you have experience in administration?How much notice are you required to give your current employer? #J-18808-Ljbffr
