What you will be doing
As a Maintenance Fitter / Electrician, working Monday to Friday with a 7am start you will be responsible for the following duties:
* Conducting preventative maintenance, modifications, and repairs on plant and equipment
* Ensuring plant and equipment are maintained to specified standards and safe working conditions
* Responding to emergency breakdowns and minimizing unplanned downtime
* Coordinating maintenance activities with the operations team
* Maintaining and operating a computerized maintenance management system for tracking work orders and spare parts
* Conducting root cause analysis for breakdowns and safety issues
* Preparing reports and analyzing data to improve plant operations and efficiency
* Monitoring plant equipment performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
* Complying with all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures
What you will need
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* Trade qualification as a Fitter and Turner
* 5+ years of industry experience working in manufacturing and maintenance teams
* Strong knowledge of OH&S and environmental policies and legislation
* Current drivers and forklift licenses
* Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office and maintenance software
* Ability to work under pressure with effective communication skills
* Relevant tickets to perform tasks
