The Job Produce and present the Top Stories news briefing, currently the #1 news podcast in Australia Produce engaging stories for our Latest News and Story Stream playlists on abc listen Generate compelling and original audio features for an on-demand audience, as well as content for the ABC's flagship regional current affairs program Australia Wide Support content makers across Australia to craft their stories for an on-demand audience Experiment with new ways of distributing audio to reach the largest possible audience Position Description: About You Our team is spread across Australia with producers everywhere from Alice Springs to Launceston, Newcastle and beyond.
Because we work in various locations and you won't have someone looking over your shoulder, we need a self-starter who's equally as comfortable jumping in the studio to present our Top Stories news briefing, as they are pitching ideas and working the phones to chase down an original yarn.
Ideally, you'll be skilled at audio editing, have high attention to detail and experience in news, and if you happen to have additional skills in distribution, video production, or writing for digital that's an added bonus.
