About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a range of heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring vehicles meet safety and performance standards, using advanced diagnostic tools and mechanical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
* Diagnostics & Troubleshooting - Identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using advanced tools.
* Repairs & Maintenance - Service engines, brakes, transmissions, fuel systems, and electrical components.
* Preventative Maintenance - Conduct routine servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks .
* Component Replacement - Repair or replace fuel injectors, turbochargers, alternators, starters, and clutch assemblies .
* Brake & Suspension Work - Maintain and repair air brakes, hydraulic systems, and suspension components.
* Safety & Compliance - Follow all workplace safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
* Emergency Repairs - Provide roadside assistance and urgent vehicle repairs when needed.
What We're Looking For:
* Experience: Minimum 2-5 years as a Diesel Technician or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
* Qualifications: Australian-recognised Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Trade Certification (for tradesperson roles).
* Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and computerized diagnostics.
* Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy parts, work in various conditions, and stand for long periods.
* Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
* Licences: truck licence
