We specialise in traditional trades disciplines and have an extensive footprint around Australia supporting large and small business clients in manufacturing, engineering, electrical, automotive, agriculture, and energy.
Partnered with our host All Construction Engineering we are looking for a Boilermaker Apprentice who is looking to get their hands on the tools, while completing a MEM31922 Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade.
This position is open to school leavers 16 and older, possessing an ability to listen, learn and put into practice their new skills. This position is a 4-year, full time apprenticeship that will set you up with a trade as a qualified Boilermaker.
This role will be based in Port Kembla, NSW.
Job Details
All Construction Engineering specialises in demolition, civil, construction, engineering and project management. MIGAS will provide a mentor and 1:1 support, while you complete a blend of on-the-job training and theory coursework.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Different aspects of boilermaking including grinding, drilling, oxy cutting
* Perform medium to heavy structural steel fabrication
* Perform routine welding using multiple techniques
* Operating hand tools and welding equipment

About You
* A flair for welding and metalwork, or enjoy hands on building and creating projects
* Be looking for a practical role, that is full of interesting challenges and variety
* Have completed a minimum of year 10 with a good understanding of maths as you’ll be reviewing and working to drawings
* Have excellent listening skills, be able to follow instructions and keen to develop new skills
* Have a positive, committed attitude and good communication skills
* Be punctual, reliable and enthusiastic about the fabrication trade
* Be safety conscious and always follow the PPE guidelines
* You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
* Have the ability to pass a Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen, and Police Check
