The opportunity to join our team
Reporting to the Head of Unit Pricing, the Senior Custody Transitions Manager will be responsible for the successful migration and integration of complex custody transition for the Unit Pricing business unit, including managing the risks, requirements, planning, testing and implementation activities. This role is client-centric and aims to successfully deliver and integrate complex transitions/operating models changes to accommodate clients’ financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
4. Manage the integration of a new global custodian including liaising with external services providers as required.
5. Manage the end-to-end testing and execution of system and process changes.
6. Ensure appropriate levels of governance are applied to all Unit Pricing implementation activities.
7. Provide solution design to accommodate operational changes including managing dependencies and constraints.
8. Ensure mitigations for execution and delivered risks are appropriate and that all relevant risks which could result in unit price errors, costs of remediation and operational delays impacting client transactions have been considered.
9. Manage pre-implementation account clean-up activities including but not limited to treatment of provisions, aged items, delisted assets, tax reclaims, and other residual balances.
10. Work with internal business subject matter experts and the external custodian to ensure that the transition plan and scope reflect the requirements pertaining to the Unit Pricing function
11. Assess, quantify, and document the impact of valuation methodology changes for complex assets such as syndicated loans.
What you will bring:
12. Approximately 10+ years in Financial Services, with specific technical knowledge of Fund Accounting and Unit Pricing, Investment Administration & Custody Operations.
13. Preferred 3+ years in a direct Implementation / Transition Management or similar role, with a proven track record.
14. Demonstrate detailed understanding of asset instruments including investment vehicles such as superannuation funds and managed investment schemes.
15. Experience working within an APRA/ASIC regulated environment.
16. Excellent communication skills both written & verbal.
17. Ability to remain confident and calm under pressure with strong influencing and change management skills.
