Asset Engineer Roads Permanent Full-time Opportunity Work Life Balance - Enjoy a Variable Day off every 19 days and Work from Home Opportunities Leaseback Vehicle Option Available Salary Ranging from $100,946.04 - $117,316.16 11.5%S Superannuation per annum 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance The Role The Asset Engineer Roads will be responsible for defect and condition inspections; capital program development including preparing renewal scope of works related to roads, bridges, retaining walls, and other structures, and street furniture; asset management maturity including updating and refining asset inventory data within Council's asset information system and spatial data within Council's spatial system; managing complex customer requests; road and bridge related grant funding applications; contract and financial management of contractors for the purposes of delivering specialist studies, reports, cost estimates or preliminary designs; and all other tasks that come with infrastructure ownership. Essential Criteria Minimum Associate Degree in Civil Engineering with considerable experience in construction & maintenance of road assets. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in asset management including future planning, scoping projects and capital works program development relating to road assets. Proven experience in developing and maintaining Asset Management System/s including GIS databases, Inventory, Customer Service, Work Order and Condition Monitoring. Sound analytical skills and a high level of or a land written communication skills to manage relationships with staff, customers and stakeholders. High level of computer literacy and experience in Microsoft Office suite. Demonstrated understanding of EEO, WH&S and traffic control requirements.
