About the Role We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join our Engineering Services Team as a Mechanical Tradesperson. We provide day to day coverage of the production facility equipment and building ensuring all breakdown and preventative maintenance is executed in a timely manner. As part of your role, you will work with the wider maintenance team to keep the machines at our Seven West Media facility running at 100 percent. Embrace the dynamic rhythm of a 12-hour rotating 3 shift schedule, spanning every day of the week. Occasionally, you'll find yourself working 4 shifts per week, each lasting 9.5 hours. The Responsibilities of the role include: Maintain and repair production equipment to meet tight schedule deadlines Use the MEX CMMS system to report, update and feedback work undertaken ensuring accurate and relevant reports are completed Order parts both internally and externally using the current Arm/Epicor software Liaise with suppliers when ordering parts if required When working unsupervised check for any work requests from other departments using MEX to plan and resource all breakdown and repair activities within the Herdsman print centre Participate in "handovers" at the start and completion of shifts to ensure accurate details are passed on regarding any maintenance tasks Carry an internal mobile phone and be the first point of contact for any breakdown and repair calls from the Reliability Coordinator Develop and maintain a clean, tidy and safe work environment at all times complying to Occupational Health and Safety regulations The Requirements of the role include: Flexibility to work on a rotating roster inclusive of 3-4 shifts per week where weekend work and shift coverage will be required Certificate 3/4 Mechanical Trade Qualification Previous experience within a manufacturing and printing environment is desirable An ability to adapt to a changing environment in the production process Demonstrated experience sourcing parts externally is desirable A demonstrated ability to collaborate and passion to work with multiple disciplines A strong business, customer and technical problem-solving mindset with the ability to apply structured thinking and simplification of complex problems Apply now !
