About the Role
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Acting Team Leader- Child & Family Care to join our team. As an Acting Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of Child & Family Care professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people in our care.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintaining compliance with relevant Child & Family Care legislation and regulation, as well as organisational policy and procedures.
* Building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, families, and young people.
* Leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of senior youth workers and youth workers in meeting a child or young person's individual needs whilst promoting culturally safe and competent practice within the program.
* Oversight of house operations with a strengths-based, person-centered approach while also maintaining a strong outcomes focus.
Requirements
* A minimum of a Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention for Residential Care.
* A positive attitude.
* Clear and effective communication skills.
* Demonstrated computer literacy and accuracy in record management.
* Experience working in a team environment.
* Ability to problem-solve.
* Capacity to follow policies and procedures at all times.
* Ability to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals.
About the Offer
This is a full-time fixed-term position from 10/02/2025 - 28/02/2025.
