The Role: Leading a small team of analysts, you will develop and deliver a range of economic analysis and modelling activities to enable Power and Water Corporation to meet its commercial and regulatory obligations and broader strategic objectives. This role will strongly interface with economic regulators and internal business units across electricity and water services. Reporting to the Senior Manager Regulation, Economics and Pricing, your key accountabilities will include: Driving people capability and culture to establish a high performing team. Leading the development and implementation of economic regulation and pricing strategies. Preparing and submitting regulated revenue proposals, annual pricing proposals and submissions to economic regulators including the Australian Energy Regulator, NT Utilities Commission and NT Government. Managing and contributing towards economic analysis / modelling as an input into regulatory proposals, submissions, information requests, cost to serve analysis, and tariff development, major reform initiatives, and project evaluations. Developing, maintaining, and analysis of the regulatory financial and economic analytical tools, models and outputs for business advisory and forecasting revenues (in the short and long term). Providing strategic economic and pricing advice across business units particularly regarding government and regulatory reform. You will bring: Experience in leading economic or pricing analysis / modelling within a regulated asset-based environment. Proven ability to manage and coordinate complex economics / pricing related projects. Strong understanding of regulatory determination processes in the utilities sector or other regulated sector. A collaborative and engaging approach cross functionally on key business decisions that impact the economic regulation of the business. A degree in an economics, business, accounting / finance or related field is desirable.
