About This Opportunity
As an Orange Door Practitioner, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality service responses to individuals seeking support through The Orange Door. You will be an integrated member of the team, working towards a cohesive practice model.
This role reports to the SIT Team Leader – South West.
About The Orange Door Initiative
The Orange Door is a network of Support and Safety Hubs established in Victoria to provide coordinated support for women, children, and families experiencing family violence or in need of support with child wellbeing. It aims to:
* Provide a visible contact point for specialist support;
* Aid in identifying family violence and child wellbeing issues;
* Offer access to justice and legal support;
* Deliver advice based on contemporary risk assessment tools and guidance;
* Supply specialist support and tailored advice for victims, families, children, and perpetrators;
* Foster connection and coordination of access to support; and
* Maintain a system-wide view of service capacity, client experience, and outcomes.
The Orange Door prioritises the agency of women, children, and families by ensuring that services meet their needs and goals.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
This position requires a degree qualification in Social Work or an equivalent field. The successful candidate will also be required to maintain current Working With Children's check and National Police Check at their own expense.
