Job Title: Practice Nurse – Part Time - Warwick, Queensland.
Job Type: Permanent – Part-Time.
Hours:
32 hours per fortnight with the potential to increase to full-time. If a suitable candidate requires extra hours from initial engagement that can be negotiated.

This small, privately-owned general practice, works collaboratively to deliver high-quality, individualised care to all. They are a mixed billings practice with a significant proportion of patients with chronic disease and complex medical issues. The Practice is seeking a motivated, energetic nurse to work with our full-time practice nurse in supporting the doctors to provide comprehensive, quality healthcare.
Position Description:
The Practice Nurse plays a pivotal role within the clinic, liaising with patients, general practitioners and administration staff. This key role facilitates an environment of organisation, co-operation and support to allow all clinicians to deliver exceptional patient care. Responsibilities include:
o Patient triage, wound management and assisting with minor procedures
o Administering injections, including childhood and travel immunisations
o Co-ordination of the treatment room including stock control, sterilisation of instruments and diary management
o Management of chronic disease and care planning
o Performing health assessments across the range of practice demographics
o Participation in delivery of patient education and health promotion
o Cold chain management
o Infection control
o General treatment room duties including IV infusions, ECG, spirometry, audiometry, ear syringing, etc
o Management of the recall register
o Accurate and timely maintenance of patient records
Qualifications & Experience:
o Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
o Current CPR certification
o Previous experience in general practice or similar healthcare setting, or experience in managing chronic disease
o Ability to work under pressure
o Pro-active with a can-do attitude
o Excellent time management skills, with capacity to multitask and prioritise own tasks
o Computer literacy, including the ability to touch-type
o Experience with Best Practice software or similar Professional presentation

Salary Information:
$35.00 - $38.50 per hour (rate is dependent on skills and experience).
