An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Portfolio Manager to join a dynamic team.The successful candidate will be responsible for executing and asset managing transactions, including undertaking credit analysis, due diligence, documentation, settlement, and ultimate repayment of transactions. This role offers the chance to work on a mix of first mortgage, second mortgage, preferred equity, equity/joint venture, and distressed debt investments located across Australia. The role also provides an opportunity to supervise, coach and mentor analyst staff.What you'll do:As a Portfolio Manager, you will play a pivotal role in executing and managing asset transactions. You will be involved in every step of the transaction process from origination to settlement. Your analytical skills will be put to use as you review and analyse property investment transactions across various assets. Your interpersonal skills will shine as you engage with clients and stakeholders to understand their funding requirements. You will also have the opportunity to manage the due diligence process, ensuring all risks are identified and mitigated. This role is not just about managing transactions; it's about building relationships with key external groups such as major banks, lawyers, property consultants.Assist with the origination process and coordinate necessary skills and resources to complete transactions in a timely mannerReview and analyse property investment transactions and development proposals across various assetsOversee the development of financial models that assess the financial feasibility of property debt and equity transactionsEngage with clients and other relevant stakeholders to understand funding requirements and evaluate proposal feasibility & capital structureMaintain strong relationships with key external groups such as major banks, lawyers, property consultantsManage the Due Diligence process of identifying and mitigating key risks in transactionsCoordinate the preparation of credit and investment papers, Indicative Terms Sheets (ITS) and Credit Approved Term Sheets (CATS)Manage the deal execution process, including reviewing draft and final loan documents, inter-creditor arrangements, joint venture agreements etc.Coordinate the loan settlement process including coordinating all relevant parties to attend to completion of purchase/discharge settlementsManage the ongoing deal management process, including monitoring feasibilities and quantity surveyor reports, construction programs, compliance with covenants and conditionsWhat you bring:The ideal candidate for the Portfolio Manager role will bring a wealth of experience in portfolio management or similar roles. Your strong analytical skills will be crucial in reviewing and analysing property investment transactions. Your excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders. Your experience in managing due diligence processes will ensure all risks are identified and mitigated.
