Your next opportunity to take off We are now seeking qualified B1 LAME’s to join our Hobart based Engineering team with a critical responsibility of carrying out maintenance on Jetstar and Qantas Group aircraft in a timely and safe manner, in accordance with company requirements. We are seeking an independent LAME capable of working amongst a smaller yet very capable team to support our Hobart maintenance operations. In this role you must be willing to make independent and educated decisions aligning with Jetstar and Qantas Group standards and procedures. Reporting to the Line Maintenance Manager, some of the key responsibilities of this role are: Carry out maintenance on Qantas Group and customer aircraft Ensure timely and correct certification of all work carried out Quality Control for aircraft presentation - upon completion of maintenance and prior to release Provide positive and supportive supervision of staff under your direct control Comply with Jetstar’s Safety Management System Required to work at other ports (including international locations) as required Comply with all Jetstar training and compliance requirements Ready for your next adventure? We’re on the hunt for someone who: Is a B1 (Unrestricted) LAME with minimum 5 years certifying experience Holds a CASA Part 66 licence with B1 type rating for A320/321 (essential) Has excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills supported with the ability to assess and interpret options and develop solutions for the line environment Has proven experience working in a line maintenance environment. Demonstrates excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate across all levels Possesses a strong working knowledge of, and demonstrated experience in being actively involved in SMS activities (such as fatigue management, workplace inspections, reporting, etc) Has the ability to work a rotating shift pattern as required by business needs Offers proven and demonstrated ability to manage a team as well as actively delegate and provide feedback on work tasks Has a thorough working knowledge and experience with TRAX (or similar), Airbus manuals and Microsoft Office Your life at Jetstar is unlike any other Live the travel dream: You and your nominated travel companions can takeoff more with our famous Qantas Group Staff Travel discount.
