We are committed to providing opportunities for your growth and career development within the company!The successful applicant will be a hands-on, energetic team player who wants a full-time position, the learning curve, the experience and the opportunities that this position will offer!Key Responsibilities include Leadership of the transport team, ensuring staff are engaged with the company values and culture.Review daily plan to ensure service levels are met Supervise the transport operation and manage efficiently to achieve customer requirements Ensure TMS system is operationalCommunicate transport plans for loading and unloading Coordination of resources with subcontractors and labour Uphold and lead by the organisational mission statement and company objectivesDiscover operational inefficiencies and introduce improvements Manage weekly reports detailing trends and balances Investigation of any instances of service failures, loss or damage of freight Your Background Transport management experience of at least 3 yearsStrong people skills with the ability to lead & influenceGood knowledge and understanding of compliance with the critical road safety/standards such as the NHVR (National Heavy Vehicles Regulator)Ability to build effective relationships, internally and externallyAbility to deal difficult customers.
