Our Client is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their team.This is a contract role until June 2025.The role requires travel to Newcastle to be on-site when required.The role is open for Australian citizens.Contract role until June 2025Open for Australian citizensThis role requires on-site travel to Newcastle when required.Paxus pays weekly.As the Network Engineer you will be responsible for the support and development of the organization's network infrastructure, encompassing WAN, LAN, Cisco/Juniper network equipment, Cisco Call Manager, cloud networking, and microwave networks.This role plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of the network infrastructure to support business operations and facilitate communication across the organization. To be successful in this role you must:Provide support and maintenance for WAN and LAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot Cisco/Juniper networking devices to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Administer Cisco Call Manager and VoIP systems, including call routing, voice gateways, and unified communications features.Implement and manage cloud networking solutions, including connectivity to cloud service providers, VPN configurations, and SD-WAN deployments.Maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and SD-WAN and patches to safeguard network assets and data.Manage microwave networks for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint connectivity, ensuring reliability and performance.Monitor network performance and traffic patterns, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network-related project activities, such as network expansions, upgrades, and migrations.Document network configurations, changes, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance with internal policies and standards.To be considered for this role you must have:5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on WAN, LAN, and Cisco or Juniper networking technologies.Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification.Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist (JNCIS) or equivalent certification.Strong knowledge and experience in Cisco Call Manager administration and VoIP technologies.Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network security devices, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.Experience with cloud networking platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.Strong understanding of ITIL principles and best practices, particularly in the areas of incident, problem, and change management.Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) and SD-WAN technologies.Knowledge of network automation tools and scripting languages, such as Python or Ansible.Experience with hybrid cloud environments and Azure Active Directory.When inquiring about this job, please quote the job number #267594.To be considered for the role click the 'apply' button or for more information about this and other opportunities please contact Irina Alrogi on or email: and quote the above job reference number.Paxus values diversity and welcomes applications from Indigenous Australians, people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and people living with a disability.If you require an adjustment to the recruitment process, including the application form in an alternate format, please contact me on the above contact details. #J-18808-Ljbffr
