Position Overview: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy and governance of the company during a transitional period.This CFO will help position the organisation for growth, and ensure that operations scale effectively while maintaining a commitment to excellence.Key Responsibilities: Financial Management - Develop and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial plans.- Manage forecasting, budgeting, and financial consolidation.- Track and analyse key performance indicators, benchmarking against industry standards.- Prepare multi-year cash flow projections and regular financial reports.Strategic Financial & Commercial Planning - Provide financial insights and projections to the CEO, Executive Leadership, and Board.- Build and maintain financial models and growth forecasts.- Offer expertise in equity and capital raising activities.- Manage the Employee Share Option Plan, including issuing and valuing options.Financial Operations Management - Implement and maintain internal controls to protect financial assets.- Ensure compliance with tax and accounting regulations.- Oversee banking, cash flow, procurement, payroll of 17 staff members, and insurance activities.Financial Reporting & Auditing - Establish financial controls and reporting for manufacturing grants and partnerships.- Manage reporting for current and future grants.Compliance and Risk Management - Develop and manage a risk management program addressing financial, operational, IT, and other risks.- Ensure compliance with regulations and manage risk-related issues.Governance - Collaborate with the Company Secretary to maintain high standards of corporate governance.- Manage board packs and ensure compliance with shareholder agreements.Financial Accounting - Oversee all financial accounting functions, including payroll, superannuation, accounts payable/receivable, and tax filings.- Liaise with external consultants and auditors for tax and grant reporting.Shared Executive Responsibilities: - Investment Securing: Identify investor opportunities, develop materials, and collaborate with advisors to secure funding.- Strategic Development: Shape and execute strategies to maximize revenue and company value.- Product Development: Support R&D to align product lines with market needs.- Financial Modelling: Develop models to predict revenue from commercial activities.- IP Strategy: Collaborate on strategies to protect intellectual property.- Regulatory Approval: Assist with regulatory strategies for class 2 devices.Workplace Health & Safety Contributions: - Promote and ensure safe work systems within the team and across the company.- Provide training and supervision to maintain safety standards.- Identify, assess, and manage risks; report incidents and contribute to investigations.Experience & Qualifications: - 8+ years of experience in transformational leadership, including strategy, operations, and growth.- 5 years in strategy, innovation, or commercial environments.- CoSec experience highly advantageous, but not essential.- Business degree qualification.- Proven ability in strategic thinking and stakeholder collaboration.- Experience in program governance and strong conflict resolution skills.- Demonstrated leadership and change management capabilities.Please note: Full working rights for Australia are required when applying for this opportunity.#J-18808-Ljbffr
