THE OPPORTUNITY
This role offers a unique chance to lead the conveyancing department as the Head Conveyancer, playing a crucial role in daily operations and driving future business growth and development. The position involves conducting title searches, drafting legal documents, and coordinating with clients, real estate agents, and other stakeholders throughout the property settlement process. This office-based role ensures all legal aspects of property transactions are
handled efficiently and accurately.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Title Searches: Conduct thorough title searches to verify legal ownership and identify any encumbrances or issues that may affect the transaction.
2. Analysis: Analyze search results and provide clear, concise summaries to clients.
3. Legal Documentation: Draft, review, and ensure the accuracy of legal documents, including contracts, deeds, and settlement statements.
4. Paperwork Accuracy: Ensure all legal paperwork related to property transactions is complete and accurate.
5. Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with real estate agents, lenders, and other parties involved in the settlement process.
6. Settlement Meetings: Schedule and attend settlement meetings, ensuring all documents are prepared and in order.
7. Legal Compliance: Stay informed of changes in property laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
8. Settlement Oversight: Oversee the settlement process, resolve issues or discrepancies, and address any challenges that arise.
9. Client Satisfaction: Work proactively to prevent delays and ensure client satisfaction throughout the conveyancing process.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate for the Head Conveyancer role is a dedicated professional with a strong background in conveyancing or legal studies. You should be adept at managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and possess strong skills in client management and sales.
About You:
10. Qualifications: A relevant degree or certification in Conveyancing or Legal Studies is essential. An accounting degree is also beneficial, but a specialized qualification in conveyancing or a legal field is more relevant for this role.
11. Skills: Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
12. Salesmanship: Strong skills in client management and sales
