Job Description - Principal Business Risk Advisor (240001KE) Principal Business Risk Advisor Due to an internal promotion, RACQ is seeking an experienced Principal Business Risk Advisor to join our first line Insurance Risk and Resilience team. This hands-on role offers an exciting opportunity to support the insurance business in its management of all Line 1 risk and compliance responsibilities including identifying, assessing and managing risks and compliance with obligations.As the Principal Business Risk Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing first-line risk advisory and assurance to multiple business units within the insurance function. This role involves collaborating with front line insurance leaders and group risk and compliance staff to support effective risk practices, and embedment of the Group Risk Management Framework.Key Responsibilities: Support the consideration of member interests in risk decision-making across the Group, ensuring the interests of policyholders are considered in the conduct of operations.Engage with and support first line-of-defence management in applying effective risk practices and generating appropriate risk behaviours by establishing trusted working relationships with managers at all levels.Support and provide guidance to business leaders in managing risk and compliance issues including root cause analysis, risk profiling, risk assessments and control assurance.Contribute to the continuous improvement and embedment of the risk management framework.About you: Tertiary education in business, project management, change management, accounting/commerce or similar.3-5 years of relevant experience.Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with senior leadership.Strong working knowledge of risk management.Enquiring mind and inquisitive nature with the ability to uncover hidden insights.Courage to speak up, when necessary, regardless of position.Critical analysis skills to address problems effectively.Previous audit experience will be highly regarded.Why join RACQ?
